Venture Capital

When I started my career venture capital, I had the rare opportunity to grow a venture arm inside an existing private equity company, build my own team, and forge my own thesis. I focused on Built World technologies: startups focused on attacking core problems in construction, real estate, and industrial automation. Despite these sectors comprising north of 20% of US GSP and forming the critical, physical backbone of our economy, venture capital has traditionally underallocated to these sectors due to traditionally slow technology adoption.

Along the way I had a chance to make a few fun investments outside of my thesis that were close to heart. My most impulsive was investing in Mobalytics just a day before they went on to win TechCrunch Disrupt 2016!

I'm very proud of my portfolio companies' successes. While at Kiddar Capital, I had the pleasure of sponsoring and leading 15 deals at Kiddar alongside first-class venture capital investors, including Floodgate, Battery, Greylock Partners, GGV, General Catalyst, Founder's Fund, Lightspeed and 500 startups. I've collaborated and co-invested with the most established Built World technology-focused venture firms, including Camber Creek, Brick & Mortar Ventures, Navitas, Urban Us, Spectrum28, and Borealis Ventures.
